  • tiger tank 3d model

It seems that the Tiger tank 3D model front skirt from MoW:AS2 has the same mistake like in MoW:AS. Original and hystorical front skirt of tiger tank doesn't have curve line, it have a straight line. Ca be modified that mistake? i think Zeke Wolff could tell us the truth. i speak something wrong?

Well, I do see hinges on the side of the skirts on the Bovington Tiger Tank, so I'd expect that they could be lowered. But that's just from what I see.

    EDIT:
They're on the top of the armor, so that means the skirts would be lifted up, not down. And I can't seem to find any pictures on the web with the Tiger's front skirt angled down like that, either.

Well the Tiger model is new so I don't think they will bother with reworking it just because of a small detail which 99% of the people won't notice.
Then its better if they rework old low res vehicle models. There are far bigger historical inaccuracies then that anyway. Like the Centurion model and the Super Pershing. The cent is a mix of the MK I and II or III (or something like that). And the SP model is not the same as the one that saw combat.
Personally I don't think things like that is a big deal. Though it would be cool to see a new Centurion.

Personally, I'd like to see the Super Pershing with the Panther armor strapped on and "bat wings" on the side of the turret. Although there's lots of things we'd like to see but don't.

Its unique version just like almost all vanilla models in MOW series, something like that old Tiger 2.4 with its lower hull under angle 10 degrees instead 50 or 40...

By the way Centurion never fought in WW2 indeed but if new Centurion then IS-3 also...
          And also Jagdtiger.

Calling for new models isn't going to make them any better. :P Being a modeler myself, and a fast and precise one at that, it still takes me a long time to make a tank. And with the level of detail required in MoW, that's not coming any time soon.

            BUT

We still don't know what models they've done and haven't done. So there's still a chance.

Indeed, but still the most odd "tank" which i ever saw in official game was old FOW/MOW M26 Pershing that thing looked absolutely like amateur made ****, it lacked even shapes and the textures were like graphical error.

the "unique" model of Tiger tank we saw it, not in MoW series, but in Faces of War. It was not a Digitalmindsoft made 3d model. It was BestWay model, first developer of Faces of War. All 3d models were taken from FoW to MoW , except maybe the kingtiger (porsche turret in FoW, and Henchel turret in MoW). I do not mind to see a wrong 3d model of Bestway (see the wrong angle of lower hull Tiger), but bother me if i see a DMS wrong 3d model , because DMS work with passion in everything they do, and i want to see that MoW:AS & MoW:AS2 (100% DMS work) they will be standard in WW2 strategy games (in the gameplay, multiplayer and yes, historycal acuracy of 3d vehicles). Considering that the Tiger it is best known tank of WW2 , yes i want to see it made perfect .

Even in that reference, the other side of the front skirt is up.

True but the Cent that was ready before the war ended was not like the one in game. It had a completly different turret and an addional 20mm gun in the turret.
The cent ingame its a mish-mash of MK II and MK III that arrived after the war.

Btw if they make tank models, i wouldn't mind some new vehicles. Because overal the old models aren't so bad.
The worst has already been replaced. I would like to see the BT-7 tanks, alot of them where produced and they saw battle until 1945.
ISU-152-2 would also be fun to play around with even if it never saw any action. It could replace the 203mm. The Gaz trucks with quad maxims would also be neat.
The Humber AC for UK would also be neat.
Dicker Max or Sturer Emil for ze germans.

The first poster, s.pz.abt.503, is talking about this Assault Squad 2
                          Tiger 1 tank screenshot for those that have not seen it;

Assault Squad 2 Tiger 1 tank screenshot

I use to build model tanks, mainly WW2 German,
so I am interested in fixing these mistakes if you can.

The design position of the fenders seems to be made to be straight.

Also it seems true that there is no clearance for the front fender sides to hang down because
the tank tracks are too wide.

I could not find the design reason written yet why they had the front fender side hinges
but maybe because of when transporting by rail.
They also had to switch tracks and put narrower transport tracks on
so the rail wagon sides could be folded up completely.
Maybe had to remove the fenders along the sides also ?
