    MOW Bonus 4 mission 4 is available and uses a mortar ammo mod by Gepanzert Faust.

    Thanks Gepanzert Faust, Your mod works great and adds more depth to the use of the mortar in MOWAS.....

    There is one sgrw34 mortar to be manned and used to defend the soviet held town from german capture...

    Men Of War Soviet Campaign Mission 1

    Ported from MEN OF WAR to MEN OF WAR ASSAULT SQUAD ( versions 1.97, 1.98 & 2.0.11 )

    - Added missing sound files.
    - Added missing video files.
    - Player controllable units made revivable and able to revive each other. ( must have morphine ).
    - Player controllable units given health boost to better balance game play..


    For those that have played or remember playing Men Of War this is for you..

    Seeing as there is a lack of good SP missions for MOWAS I decided to port this mission
    and make it available for those interested in these good old missions.

    I am preparing a new version FOW Allied campaign at the moment and I will upload it in the next few hours.....

    Conversion based on unfinished MOD by The Soldier, many thanks to him.

    All missions play tested by me for issues and none found...

    All Mission completion issues fixed.

    Blood FX mod added.

    Custom sounds & sound FX added from HD Mod 1.2, thanks to hergostin..

    Missions:
    Radar Station ( estimated completion play time 20mins )
    Falaise ( estimated completion play time 2 hours )
    Walcheren ( estimated completion play time 1 hour )
    Airlanding ( estimated completion play time 2 hours )

    Remember to save very often or you will get frustrated and angry..
    Avoid flak38's & Wirbelwind's like the plague and use any cover to sneak up and destroy them. ( Alternatively distract them and use a sniper if possible )

    i take no credit for this 4 mission Usa vs Jap campaign, i found it on the internet and converted the lng files to english language.

    Please note most mission text in the mission file is still french.... really good mission with excellent production values...

      Update 1

      Just completed porting and testing Allied Radar mission, all missing unit textures fixed and mission works great...

      Later today / tonight I will release Radar mission plus Walcheren Isle update ( fix for missing unit textures and fixed sounds and character voices )

          Hi All,

          Progress report on mission / campaign conversion.

          Allied Training Mission 1 Needs .LNG file but working
          Allied Training Mission 2 Needs .LNG file but working
          Allied Training Mission 3 Needs .LNG file but working
          Radar Station Needs .LNG file but working
          Falaise 100 % Complete & working
          Walcheren Isle 100 % complete & working

          For the most part I have been using the FOW Missions MOD conversion by "The Soldier" for MOWAS, full credit to him for his pioneering work and efforts to convert FOW missions to MOWAS..
          (5 missions, allied only )

          For the missions he didn't convert I am using FOW missions for MOW by "The Soldier" also.
          (22 missions , most missions from Allied,German, and Soviet campaigns but no training missions )

          For the missions no one has converted yet I am using stock FOW content. eg. Radar mission and 9 training missions + allied omaha beach mission..

          Eventually all FOW missions / campaigns will be converted, thats my goal anyway, and with help from you guys / the MOW community I know it will happen....

          My next project which may run concurrently with this one is converting all the MOW SP and bonus missions to MOWAS... Because the .LNG files are easily available and there are less issues with broken map entities eg."hedge2a" object conversion should be much quicker...

          I need suggestions for 1 game balance issue that has arisen while testing Falaise mission... How do i de-tune
          or make less aggressive and damaging the Flak38's - I need to either lessen their range or lethality on infantry... ( in missions where there are a few flak38's the player is decimated )

          I thought about replacing them with pak35's, or giving them much less ammo but then I wouldn't be entirely happy because then the missions aren't authentic and authentic is what my aim is...

          Is there a way to mod the unit ranges back to MOW original's in a mod to suit the smaller maps in FOW compared to MOWAS.... ???

          Sorry to ramble and prattle on but I am excited about my progress thus far..... and playing falaise mission was one of the best gaming experiences of my life... best tactic was crawl until you get off the beach..

            Just a first idea, but maybe you can change the properties of the Flak (#3 menu in the F3 editor) and then check the case "Uncrew on injure".
            So the flak crew will continue to fire, but if your soldiers fire on them (a cover mg unit behind a rock for example), they will uncrew the flak, and you can continue the mission..

              any idea what i can use to replace the douments bag for 3 missions with ???.. i tried suitcase but no good....

                I read in another thread that you need the uncompressed localization files for FoW.
                As you just see by yourself, the original english.pak files is encrypted.
                Time ago the Bestway released a version for modders that has no lock: it is related to the retail version of the game. You can find it here:

                If you need the latest version of those localization files you could also open the patch files (*.pat), that is not locked, and look inside the resource/interface/text directory.

                  Warning: Play all missions ported from MOW or FOW on a game speed setting of 2 or lower.. ( some even need speed 1 )
                  otherwise you will die very quickly.. ( spend a lot of time using cover and go prone too )... Have fun

                      Update: Work is progressing well on Falaise, Walcheren, and air landing missions,
                      Due to the fact some models / objects that exist in FOW and MOW are not in MOWAS.
                      eg.

                      "gun_platform" german 88mm gun on railway car is in mowas editor but doesn't seem to have an object..
                      "cg-4a" glider not in MOWAS so I ported it from MOW. but hamilcar is there..
                      "armored_locomotive" not in MOWAS so ported from MOW.

                      Latest version with 3 allied mission, Falaise, Walcheren, and Airlanding..

                      please report any issues as I have not fully play tested these missions to completion due to the time it takes to complete each mission..

                      Airlanding mission is simply awesome, IMHO.....

                      remember to always use cover when moving soldiers and stay low until off the beach... (hint)

                        Small issue with falaise

                        After playing Falaise for 2 hours while play testing and completing all mission objectives mission doesn't end..

                        I will upload fix version soon or separate the 3 missions into individual mods....

                        sorry for any inconvenience.....

                        If i remember correctly the player has to attack the armored train and that didn't happen.... ???

                        I may have import the armored train from MOW Vietnam, i think the one i used from MOW may have probs..

                            Update 3

                            New versions of first 4 allied missions available tomorrow.

                            fixes:

                            - All player controllable allied soldiers are now able to be revived by medic.
                            Injured allied squad members will bleed out when badly hit giving you time to revive them.

                            - Medic added to squad to assist... ( protect him at all costs )

                            SdKfz. 223 replaces SdKfz. 222 ( sdkfz 223 has mg42 instead of 20mm autocannon )

                            Work on german missions progressing slowly due to missing objects, I imported the torpedomine from MOW and all is good with that but now issues with triggers showing up while testing.. I have reverted to using stock FOW vanilla files in an attempt to fix trigger probs. ( some .lng file changes possibly )

                            Russian missions going slowly due to some missing props in mission files, I will have to load MOWAS editor and find out what they have been renamed to and adjust missions accordingly....

                            Thanks to ugopierini for helping me with these missions and suggesting the medic and revive option
                            ... your help is greatly appreciated...

                            Thanks to The Soldier for feedback on 20mm's and difficulty of missions....

                            WHO plays MOWAS missions with music on ??, If no one bothers with music I won't include the FOW music,
                            I feel it ads atmosphere to the gameplay... opinions please ????

                              Well the music is nothing to write home about, but it does give it some mood, and also the game would feel more "Faces of War" with it.
                              Thank you for the hard work, its nice to see more singleplayer content in Assault Squad.
