Vista 64 Game not working

Downloaded the Demo version and it works fine on my system but once I purchased the Steam Version I cant get passed the intro, I hear the audio track playing in the background but all I get is a black screen, I try ctrl-alt-del and nothing I have to hard boot the system, I tried it with a boxed copy afterwards and still nothing. Any ideas? I have had the problem of having to run some games in windowed mode, but I cant even force windowed on this game. Now I have two copies and still cant play.

3gig Ram
1.5 TB HD

Did you try installing patch 1.11.3?

User error, works fine and dandy for me without any hiccups whatsoever, on Vista 64 ultimate, right out of the box.. Check your drivers and so forth

Steam version is latest patch, and I have the latest catalyst driver not sure where Im going worng

Try other monitor resolutions.

Me screen resolution is set to 1024 768, tried up to 1280 768, nothing it still goes black when the game is suppose to start, I get past the intro videos but nothing more

Nothing wont go windowed, tried forcing with DXWnd but again it only windowed up until the intros end and then shoot to full screen once the actual games starts and I get the black screen and have to hard boot, this is frustrating I have read alot of the other forums and noone can seem to come up with a solution.

So does your screen just turn black (out of range perhaps?) or does it hard lock so alt+f4, ctrl+alt+del and keyboard lights stop responding? Then you definitely got hardware problem.
